In our 50s and 60s, my wife, Judy, and I sailed around the world aboard our 2003 Amel Super Maramu, BeBe. Together, we logged over 40,000 miles across 58 countries during an 11-year circumnavigation.
Inspired by our journey, I founded the Amel Yacht School to help others pursue their cruising dreams safely and efficiently. In 2016, we were honored to receive Sailing Today’s Sailor of the Year Award—accepted via video conference while cruising (click photo to watch video).
